Surge in registrations for Annual Meeting in Melbourne

The Sixth Annual Groningen Declaration Network Meeting (scheduled for 26-28 April 2017 in Melbourne, the Cultural Capital of Australia) is rapidly approaching. We look very much forward to (re)connecting with all of you -- at the time of writing, the number of registrations exceeds 100, from more than 20 countries. We are pleased to report that projected attendance has exceeded our expectations.

This year's theme, Extending Engagement aims to highlight the growth of the GDN ideals, this time concentrating on the eastern part of the Southern Hemisphere.

The Sixth Annual Meeting program is built around five broad categories, which will be presented in concurrent session slots as an accompaniment to our thought provoking plenary key notes, plenary panel discussions and the exciting official launch of the joint Australian - New Zealand student data portal, My eQuals.

At the time of writing, our confirmed keynotes and plenary sessions include the following speakers:

  • The Honourable Simon Birmingham, Minister for Education and Training, Commonwealth of Australia
  • Adrienne Fricke, Article 26 Backpack for Refugees
  • Anthony McClaran, Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency
  • Francisco Marmolejo, World Bank
  • Valère Meus, Erasmus Without Paper Consortium
  • Matthew Pittinsky, Parchment and Natalie Smolenski, Learning Machine
  • Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Education, Australian National University
  • Stephan Vincent-Lancrin, OECD (TBC)
  • Margaret Wenger, TAICEP
  •

Concurrent sessions are grouped around the following broad themes:

  • Credential Integrity
  • Global Cooperation
  • Mobility
  • National Pilot Updates
  • Showcase Sessions

We look very much forward to seeing you!
